The Urban Soul Orchestra is a contemporary and versatile string ensemble with a groovy twist, superb entertainment for a high profile corporate event and exclusive private party alike. During our 20 years experience we have been continuously developing our own unique brand of high quality entertainment in response to the requests of our clients, by adding in different musical elements such as percussion, bass, vocals, DJ, VJ's and dancers.

The result is our own unique blend of strings, beats and bass lines complementing soulful arrangements of lush strings and funky rhythms, to create a fresh, modern and classy sound suitable for any corporate event, exclusive private party or international brand product launch.

Corporate Event Entertainment

Urban Soul Orchestra offer a bespoke solution for high quality, international corporate entertainment, from a sophisticated string ensemble for drinks receptions and networking events to the high energy, high class performance of the USO Big Band for an international business event or conference dinner. For boutique or intimate corporate events, we offer the stylish yet compact USO Little Big Band. Our innovative USO DJ Set combines percussion, strings, vocalist/sax and DJ for background music or dancing with a contemporary edge, while our Chill Out Set quartet or six piece Acoustic Ensemble are perfect for informal receptions or networking events. The USO have provided corporate entertainment for many major corporate events including for BT, Deutsche Bank, Harvey Nichols, HSBC, McKinsey & Co, Mazda, News International, Nissan, Nokia, Politics International, Samsung, Tiffany and Co, Toyota and Unilever.

Product Launch Entertainment & Fashion Shows

In order to create the perfect ambience for a product launch, we work closely with brand managers and launch organisers to provide the perfect music and entertainment. The Urban Soul Orchestra have performed at numerous major brand launches and designer fashion events, drawing on music from our exclusively arranged repertoire of chilled out lounge grooves, contemporary pop and soul, cool jazz and blues, and beautiful classical music, or arranging bespoke pieces as required. London events include the Opening of the Emirates Stadium, the launch of the Tommy Hilfiger flagship store and performing for the ‘Greatest Fashion Show on Earth’ at Westfield. USO are featured in the 2010 Red Magazine Christmas Edition. Award Ceremony Music

From triumphal soaring strings to dramatic drumrolls, the Urban Soul Orchestra can provide your awards ceremony with a complete range of stirring ceremony accompaniments and post-awards party entertainment. Options include our laid back chill out set for drinks reception, and our USO Big Band for a classy alternative to the usual covers band for after dinner dancing. Private Party Entertainment

Celebrity clients and party planners alike have enthused about the USO's ability to delight and entertain guests at private parties for birthdays, anniversaries or weddings. Whether providing beautiful background music at a champagne reception or encouraging even the most reserved guests up and dancing to the unique string and vocal mix of one of our USO Big Bands, the USO provides sophisticated and elegant party entertainment. Although many of our celebrity clients like to remain confidential, some of our private party clients have included Dame Mary Arumemi Iklhide, Lord Norman Foster, Mariah Carey, Oasis, Penelope Cruz, Viscount David Linley, and Goga Ashkenazi.

Charity Event & Charity Fundraising Entertainment

The USO are proud to have entertained at major charity fundraising events. Past charity performances include The Asda Charity Golf Day Dinner, The Africa & Caribbean Leukemia Trust, The Black Heart Foundation, Bliss (Pyranees Celebrity Cycle Challenge), Minority Supplier Development UK (MSDUK) and an annual commitment to the Black Police Association (Celebration of Life Concert).
