USO Big Band

For a classy alternative to the everyday soul band or cover band, the Urban Soul Orchestra Big Band set combines the talented USO string players with a superb horn section, live band and three quality vocalists. The result is high energy, classy covers band music, perfect as a glamorous wedding dance band, sassy corporate event covers band or sophisticated private party dance music.

USO Big Band Options
The Big Band is especially suitable for large audiences but can be booked in a variety of sizes, for example as a 7, 12, 13, 15 or 20 piece big band, for maximum impact.

The increasingly popular USO 7 piece Little Big Band features 3 vocalists with string quartet and backing tracks, for a varied and exciting cover band set. The Little Big Band was created to provide the same quality of sound experience for more intimate venues or bespoke events with select guest lists.

The mid-size USO Big Little Big Band features 3 vocalists with string quartet and backing tracks, plus 3 piece horn section, percussion and 2 dancers, creating a 13 piece ensemble. The USO Big Little Big Band bridges the gap between an excellent covers band and full show, perfect for events requiring visual impact as well as musical excellence. Live VJ's can also be added.

All of the USO band ensembles have an international reputation for superb arrangements and stunning sound, ideal for any events requiring high quality, high impact entertainment, be it as an award ceremony band, product launch music, private party entertainment, charity event performers or the ultimate in big band wedding entertainment.

Any USO Big Band option can be combined with either the USO Chill Out Set or USO Acoustic Ensemble during drinks or dinner, and/or USO DJ.

USO Big Band Musicians & Repertoire
Our repertoire includes classics from Duffy, Pink, Beyonce, Robbie Williams, Lady Gaga, Soul II Soul, Scissor Sisters, The Noisettes, Black Eyed Peas, Taio Cruz, Soul II Soul, Barry White and Michael Jackson, all guaranteed to get your guests crowding onto the dance floor. One of the main differences about USO, compared to a standard soul band or cover band is that many of our musicians have either featured on the original tracks with these pop artists, and/or still perform regularly with them. USO Big Band members are all top musicians with live gig and recording credits ranging from Amy Winehouse (horns), Duffy (percussion), The Noisettes (string section), Robbie Williams (vocalists), Soul II Soul (original string arrangement and performance) to Westlife, Il Divo and Tom Jones (band).

USO Big Band Vocalists
USO vocalists include Fola, Andrea Britton, Roo Savill, Abbie Osmon (backing vocalist for Tom Jones), Sarah Jane Skeete (backing vocalist for Robbie Williams), and our latest USO lead male vocalist, Sean Rumsey (from X Factor 2007 boy band 'Futureproof').
