Urban Soul Orchestra writes orchestral arrangements for recordings, screen productions, broadcast and live performance. From a single song to a full cinematic score, each arrangement is written from the ground up for the music, the instrumentation and the musicians who will perform it.
Arrangements can be written for an artist’s own musicians, a studio session line-up or a USO ensemble, from a small string section through to full orchestra.

Broadcast & Live Ceremony
Arrangements and orchestrations written to the timing, pacing and production requirements of broadcast and live performance. USO created the orchestral arrangements for the World Rugby Awards at the Palais Garnier, Paris, performed live for a global audience.
Brand & Experiential
Original arrangements and orchestration written for brand activations, launches and live experiences, shaped around the creative direction of the project. For the Dior flagship opening in Covent Garden, USO created music specifically for the setting and visual concept, performed live as part of the wider production.

Do You Write Bespoke Orchestral Arrangements?
Yes. Urban Soul Orchestra writes original orchestral arrangements and orchestrations from scratch — for recordings, film and television, broadcast ceremonies and live events. Each arrangement is scored for the specific ensemble, setting and mix it's written for, rather than adapted from a stock chart.
What Can You Arrange for?
We arrange across four main areas: studio recordings and singles, film and screen underscore, live and broadcast ceremonies, and brand or experiential productions. Whether it's a single reimagined song or a full cinematic score, the arrangement is built around the format it needs to serve.
Can You Arrange a Specific Song or Reimagine an Existing Track?
Yes. Reworking an existing song — a cover, a stripped-back version, or a full orchestral reimagining — is core to what we do. Share the track and the direction you're after, and we'll orchestrate it for your chosen line-up, from a string quartet to a full orchestra.
Do You Supply the Musicians to Record It, or Just the Written Score?
Both. We can deliver prepared parts for your own players, or arrange and record the piece through our session network with USO musicians. Recording & Session work is handled by our recording team, so an arrangement can move from score to finished master under one roof.
Can Arrangements Be Delivered to Picture or Broadcast Timing?
Yes. We prepare cues and orchestrations cut to picture, show pacing and broadcast tolerances — as delivered for the World Rugby Awards at the Palais Garnier in Paris, performed live to a global audience.
Who Writes the Arrangements?
Arrangements are led by USO founder and Musical Director Stephen Hussey — a violinist, conductor and arranger with a thirty-year career across the concert hall, recording studio and broadcast stage. Beyond USO's commissions, the orchestra's musicians have featured on major-label recordings for artists including Annie Lennox and Liam Gallagher.
