Setting the Atmosphere
The Chill Out Set combines live strings with a bespoke produced soundtrack, creating a rich, contemporary sound that sits effortlessly between an acoustic ensemble and a full live band. A string quartet or octet forms the heart of the line-up, with saxophone and percussion available to add further depth and energy.
The repertoire moves through downtempo and contemporary instrumental music, from Nitin Sawhney, Nightmares on Wax and Groove Armada to Ludovico Einaudi, Ennio Morricone and Michael Nyman, alongside chill-out arrangements of familiar songs and current favourites.
The set evolves naturally with the event, creating a relaxed atmosphere for drinks and dinner before building in tempo and energy as the evening progresses. The same ensemble can take the room from understated background music into something far more upbeat as guests move towards the dance floor.
The Line-Up
The Chill Out Set is built in four sizes, with every configuration performing alongside our bespoke produced soundtrack.
- 4-piece: string quartet

The Occasions
The Chill Out Set is designed for the social part of an event, drinks receptions, dinner service, corporate hospitality and the hours between a wedding ceremony and the evening celebration.
Its strength is its versatility. It can sit comfortably in the background while guests mingle and talk, then gradually build in energy as the event develops, without changing ensemble or interrupting the flow of the occasion.
The Chill Out Set is also available in Best of British, Bond songbook and Bollywood themes, allowing the music to be tailored around the wider concept of an event.

Because it is one team across the whole event, each part is planned as part of the same musical journey. Booking multiple ensembles also allows us to offer a better overall rate than booking each element separately.
