USO offers two distinct DJ formats, each built around the same thing: reading the room, knowing when to change direction and keeping the dance floor exactly where it needs to be.

Solo DJ puts the music at the centre. From the first track to the last, the set is shaped around the crowd, moving through genres and generations with the freedom to respond to the room in real time. Requests and favourite tracks can be supplied in advance, but no two nights follow the same set list.

DJ Live adds another dimension. Saxophone, violin, trumpet and percussion can perform alongside the DJ, moving in and out of the set and bringing live moments onto the dance floor without interrupting its momentum. The result sits somewhere between a DJ set and a live performance, with the flexibility of one and the energy and presence of the other.

Both can take an evening from the first dance through to the final track, or follow one of USO's live bands, carrying the energy through to the end.

A DJ can take the lead for the entire evening or step in after one of our live bands, carrying the energy through to the final track. Corporate parties, awards evenings, weddings and private celebrations all work beautifully with a set shaped around the room and the people in it.

A Solo DJ is ideal when the music itself should lead the night, with complete flexibility to move between genres, requests and different generations on the dance floor.

Our DJ Live adds another layer, bringing saxophone, strings, trumpet or percussion into the set. It can work just as well for drinks and receptions as it can later in the evening, building naturally from atmosphere into something more energetic without changing the format.

A DJ may close the night, but the music can begin long before the dance floor opens. Start with live strings for guest arrival, move into a Chill Out or Jazz Set for the reception and dinner, bring in a live band for the main entertainment, and let the DJ carry the celebration through to the final track.

With one musical team across the event, each part of the day is designed to lead naturally into the next, building the atmosphere as the celebration unfolds and finishing exactly where it should: on the dance floor.
