Solos & Duos
Classical and Beyond
A solo or duo brings music into its most intimate form. One or two exceptional musicians can create an atmosphere that feels personal, refined and perfectly suited to the moment, from a ceremony or drinks reception to dinner.
These are the same players who sit in the orchestra. The difference is scale, not standard.
Each format can be performed acoustically or with a produced soundtrack, allowing the music to evolve naturally with the atmosphere of the event.
The Instruments
Twin Violins
A classically trained string duo, performing acoustically or to professionally produced backing tracks.
The acoustic set moves from classical repertoire, including Pachelbel's Canon in D, into contemporary music with classical or chill-out arrangements. The electric set takes a more contemporary direction, improvising over pop, hip-hop and dance, with audio and visual elements incorporated into the performance.
Ideal for intimate weddings, drinks receptions and larger corporate occasions. The duo perform regularly at Wigmore Hall, The Ritz, Grosvenor House and The Savoy.
Line-up: 2-piece string duo, on acoustic or electric instruments.

Harpist or Harp Ensemble
Elegant, intimate and unmistakable. Our harpist performs a repertoire spanning classical works and contemporary favourites, creating a beautiful atmosphere for ceremonies, drinks receptions, private dinners and more intimate events.
Performing entirely acoustically, the harp works particularly well in historic venues, private homes and spaces where a softer musical presence is preferred. It can also replace piano as the accompaniment to violin or cello, creating an elegant duo for a more intimate setting.
Line-ups: Solo harpist, Harp Ensemble or as accompaniment to violin or cello.

Cello and Piano
A rich and expressive pairing, combining the warmth of the cello with the versatility of piano. The duo moves effortlessly between classical repertoire, film music and contemporary favourites, creating an elegant atmosphere without overpowering the room.
Ideal for ceremonies, drinks receptions, dinners and private events where the music should feel present but never intrusive.
Line-ups: Solo Cello, Cello and piano or Cello to Backing Track

The Occasions
Solos and duos are a natural choice for moments where the music should feel intimate and personal, a wedding ceremony, drinks reception, private dinner or an arrival where atmosphere matters from the very first note.
Their smaller footprint also makes them beautifully suited to private homes, historic venues and more intimate settings, while still bringing the same musicianship and attention to detail as our larger ensembles.
For corporate events, a soloist or duo can provide an elegant musical presence for guest arrivals, dinners, launches and hospitality without dominating the room.

"We had a solo violinist playing during our civil ceremony, music that we actually loved and wanted and meant something to us rather than the generic wedding music."
Music Throughout Your Event
Solos and duos often form part of a wider musical journey, bringing an intimate touch to the earlier moments of an event before the atmosphere builds later in the day.
A violinist might accompany a ceremony, a harpist welcome guests, or a duo perform through drinks and dinner before one of our bands takes over for the evening. With one team overseeing the music throughout, each element flows naturally into the next.
There is no minimum booking, and preferential rates are available when multiple ensembles are booked together.
Often booked alongside:
Classical String Quartet · Chill Out Set · Acoustic Ensemble
